Entrepreneur Spirit is in the Blood
With over three decades of entrepreneurial experience, Damon has always been driven by a passion for excellence and a deep connection to his community. His entrepreneurial journey began in high school with a full-service lawn maintenance company, which grew to serve both residential and large-scale commercial properties throughout Kansas City. In 2005, after successfully selling that business, Damon turned his focus to real estate and founded Comerio Homes. His unwavering commitment to building high-quality custom homes, combined with his ability to attract top talent, has established Comerio Homes as one of Kansas’ most respected builders. Damon’s entrepreneurial journey is not just a personal achievement; it is a continuation of the values his family has always upheld.
Damon’s great grandparents Pete and Madalena Comerio were immigrants from Italy, settling in Illinois and started a bakery in 1908 in Herrin, IL The bakery was named Pete Comerio Union Bakery and was later changed to Comerio’s Bakery. Below is a picture of the bakery which was in operation until 1978. Serving customers was the cornerstone of their business, and the cornerstone of Comerio Homes today. Over the span of 70 years, the family was an integral fiber of the bakery consisting of his grandparents, father, uncle and many cousins. Damon’s grandparents Mario and Clara Comerio continued the business after his great grandparents. John and Justina Lutostanski.
